This happened for sure: Iverson gets sent to Detroit for Billups, McDyess, Samb

Chauncey Billups will be returning to Colorado, but this time as a Denver Nugget

This trade actually happened. It's real. No one pulled away or anything. It wasn't the Tinsley or Zach Randolph "trade". It happened. I promise.

The Nuggets sent Allen Iverson to the Pistons for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheikh Samb.

Iverson was expected to be traded this season, but not this early. I suggested Iverson gets sent to NY for Stephon Marbury, and obviously, that didn't happen.

But Iverson is in th! e final year of his contract. He might not stick around for much longer, but he could give them a good run this year in the playoffs. A Yahoo Sports writer said the Pistons would probably try and pick up LeBron James in 2010, so that is the major reason for this trade. Looks like almost everyone in the league is trying to lose most of their guys so they can grab LeBron. Bad choice. Only one team is going to get LeBron. I think Detroit should keep Iverson for a while. They could get far.

Antonio McDyess played for the Nuggets from 1995-97 and 1998-2002, and Chauncey Billups was born in Denver and played at Colorado in college. He also played for the Nuggets from 28-00. Samb played only 4 NBA games last season, but in the D-League, he led the league with 4 blocks a game.
